Hello and welcome! After 3 days of reading code until my eyes almost popped out of my head I figured it out! I can make your homepage have 3 columns AND the user profiles have 3 columns.. AND it is editable in the "page builder" section of the admin menu! This will make your page the size it SHOULD be, not all tiny like it comes at install. I have seen a mod similar to this for $165.. that's crazy!?
This will give you three columns in all the "page builders" in the admin menu.. but the "homepage builder" and "profile builder" are the only ones that will change if you drag and drop blocks in the third column.

Thanks for this Mod! Very clear and concise instructions made it a snap to install. I'll be trying to make a few updates to it myself and will let you know when I've updated it. Thanks for what I know was a lot of hard work lookiing for all the code changes you had to make!

I just installed this for 3 different clients, changing their site from the cookie-cutter style to this and in doing so freed up a tonne of space for their ads and more info from their community!
Its what they all scream for - when using the standard 2 column design.
They thank you for the style, I thank you for the SIMPLE INSTALL instructions!

spot on, had to make a few changes to get all columns the same size, but that wasnt a hard job

Anyone reading this and thinking about this mod needs to understand one thing, mscott made this easiest enough even for me to get it installed. Instructions and everything were simple and before I knew it the mod was working like a champ. Also, thanks to the easy to follow guide I was able to adjust the three columns to whatever seemed to fit the site best. Thanks for a great mod and an incredible price!! This was my value find of the week, for sure!!

GREAT MOD... I just wanted warn people who are like me..
GUYS if you have made a lot of changes, please BACK UP your old files before any changes.. Thank god. in mscott's instructions it says BACK up and I did... Because of my prior changes the MOD turned my site upside down.. (No blame to the MOD at all)
When I wrote him about the problem he looked for a solution in 5 minutes... Didn't work out but not his fault.. ALL I'm saying is BACK UP ...BACK UP.. BACK UP..
