Thumbnail of a sender attaches as an embedded picture in the mail message body.
for Dolphin 5.6 and higher
This modification automatically attaches thumbnail picture of a sender (primary small picture which represents user on site) to a mail. And with a special tag admin in administration panel can define position of thumbnail in a message body. So receiver can visually see sender's small primary picture (usually sender's photo) in it's message on mail.
Notes:
To switch off this feature just delete tag from message template.
Feature automatically will be switched off for recipients who hadn't pointed in theirs profile that they can receive messages in HTML format (attaching thumbnail in text format is meaningless because there is no way to place in the mail body link to the attached thumbnail). If member can only receive messages in text format then tag will be stripped automatically from message body.
